Photography Challenge Time!

Alright, so this girl has been dying to do a photography challenge for a very long time now and so I have been looking around. You see there are many many photography challenges out there. There are the iPhoneography challenges, the Instagram photography challenges, the "what did I eat today" challenges and I was not keen on trying any of those. However, in my long long loooong time of looking and searching I have found a winner! It was created by a guy named Josh who teaches photography in a pretty fantastically easy way on his blog here. I encourage you to go check out his site.
He came up with this wonderful photography challenge! He is already finished with it but I am going to do it anyway!

Now to explain why I love this one so much. Since I started getting into photography I have not been to keen on taking my own picture because I am a perfectionist when it comes to my photos and it is very hard to get a decent self-portrait. Well, most photography challenges out there have a lot of those kind of pictures.  Also a lot have some silly ones like what did I eat today or what did I wear and I do not exactly like that sort of photography. Well, this brilliant photo challenge has some amazing challenges! It is really going to challenge my skills as a photography. So it will really be a photography CHALLENGE! I am super excited to see how this works. It is a 30 day challenge but I have a feeling it is going to take me longer then 30 days with my busy schedule. Sadly I cannot just take pictures all day like I would love to! So I am happy to announce that Amy Lee Photography is going to be doing this 30 POST photography challenge!
Here is how it will work. Since it has a lot of things I have never tried before and I am sure there are things on that list that you are looking at thinking "WHAT IS THAT?!?", I will explain what each thing means as I post for each picture.
So, let me know what you think!

Some of my favorites!

As I mentioned in my first post, I have been at this a while and have an ever growing portfolio but I would like to share some of my favorites with you!
You will notice my water marks are different on some of the pictures. Before I really got into photography I just had a basic watermark that was just text. It wasn't till about 2 years ago that I had an official water mark.
Let us begin!

 My first ever maternity shoot!

Next up is my sweet nephews Andrew and Sean!

Now on to the female portraits!

And lastly, my favorites from my infant shoots!

Elsie Ann Quilaton

So I had the joy of taking pictures of a dear friend's sweet little girl! Her name is Elsie and she is such a doll!
I have taken many pictures of little ones before but never ones of someone that isn't related to me. I was a bit worried to start out because little ones' emotions are very unpredictable so I was extremely surprised when they arrived and little Elsie was all smiles!
It took about an hour and I got over 100 usable pictures of this cutie! I was overwhelmed at how beautiful all the pictures turned out. I even got some family shots which was also fairly new to me.
Definitely an all around amazing experience! I look forward to being able to once again get to take pictures of this wonderfully adorable little family!

A little bit about me :)

Hello! My name is Amy. Welcome to my world of joy!
I currently live in the Philippines and have lived here for the majority of my life. I have been so blessed to have been raised by my 2 wonderful parents who both also live here in the Philippines. I am the youngest in my family with 3 siblings. I am the Aunt to 4 beautiful little kiddoes who you will be seeing a lot of. The reason I said welcome to my world of joy is because photography is truly a passion of mine and so is my family. I have been lucky enough to be able to blend both into 1!
I started "photography" my senior year of high school but didn't really get seriously into it until after I graduated. I started out using your basic point and shoot camera but it wasn't till I moved up in the ranks of camera equipment that I really started to get serious and actually do the research. Now, I am nowhere near what I could be as a photographer but I believe that I am getting better with each passing click of the shutter (grin).
So, stick around and check my stuff out. Feel free to comment, post and criticize. I always appreciate the advice, especially from seasoned shutterbugs.
